You are warmly invited to our next weekend of Zen practice in Etyek, led by Zen Master Ji Kwang.
This weekend offers an opportunity to return to a clear awareness of the present moment through practising together.
Zen Master Ji Kwang (Dr. Roland Wöhrle-Chon) is a leading teacher in the Kwan Um School of Zen. With a background in philosophy and psychology, he received authorisation to teach (inka) in 2000 and full Dharma transmission from Zen Master Wu Bong in 2012. For decades, his clear, direct teaching has helped Western practitioners deepen their understanding of Zen meditation and bring it into everyday life.
About the weekend:
Following the tradition of the Kwan Um School of Zen, the practice weekend provides a quiet, structured setting for settling the mind and seeing clearly. Throughout the weekend, Zen Master Ji Kwang will offer teachings and individual guidance in kong-an practice.
The main elements of practice are sitting and walking meditation, bowing, chanting, and kong-an interviews.
Whether you are new to meditation or an experienced practitioner, the teacher’s presence and the support of practising together will help you deepen your awareness.
